Community Mental Health Academy
Our Academy offers a one-year Care Giving Course focused on caring for psychiatric and intellectually disabled adults and dual-disabled children. The course is designed to build knowledge and hands-on skills needed to care for people with these challenges.
Requirements
Age 20 or older (preference for applicants with experience)
Minimum academic level: Grade 10
Must be physically and mentally healthy
Must be willing to work with psychiatric adults, frail elderly, and intellectually disabled individuals
Students will live and work in CMHP homes as part of their practical training
Fees & Financial Info
Affordable registration fee required
Selected students receive non-financial scholarships
No payment is provided for practical work, as it forms part of the internship
